New April dates for The Readiness Camp
Published Thu 11 Feb 2021
There are still a limited number of places available to participate in The Readiness Camp, a Snow Australia FUTURES collaboration with snowboard-camp organiser Turn & Burn. The camp, originally scheduled in January, had to be postponed and will be run from the 6th to the 11th of April, during the April school holidays.
There are many factors that contribute to success in elite sport. Mental strength, mindfulness and readiness are some of the more critical athlete traits that are often overlooked or underdeveloped. Given this year’s challenges with international training and competition, it’s the perfect time for athletes to work on upping their mental game and get ready to take their performance to the next level.
The Readiness Camp is a 6-day residential camp for developing snowsport athletes in all disciplines. It will be run by Ryan Tiene from Turn & Burn Snowboard Camps, who has extensive experience as a former professional Park & Pipe athlete, National Team coach and current Turn & Burn Camp Director.
And what better place to do it than at the state-of-the-art Surfing Australia High Performance Centre in sunny Casuarina, NSW?
The Camp will include a range of fun and challenging activities. Participants will learn how different athletes prepare for elite sport by interacting with pro surfers, pro wakeboarders, inspirational speakers, as well as high performance coaches and personnel.
Places are limited so be sure to register your interest as soon as possible through Turn & Burn. For more information visit the Snow Australia FUTURES webpage at https://www.snow.org.au/pathways/futures/
