Following the announcement of Jason Clauscen as Program Operations Manager earlier this year, another key management role for the National Snowsports Training Centre (NSTC) has been announced with the appointment of Cathy Lambert as NSTC General Manager.
Lambert will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility and just like Clauscen is a proud Jindabyne local, having lived in the town and been involved with snowsports in a professional capacity for the last 25 years.
“I was introduced to Interschools through my two children and while working at Jindabyne Central School I took on the role of School Coordinator before commencing full-time employment with Interschools in 2013,” Lambert said, adding that she’s thrilled to be appointed as General Manager of the NSTC.
“Witnessing the development of the facility since the initial earthworks commenced in December 2020, through to our current operations, has been incredible,” Lambert said.
“I am really looking forward to being involved in the next phase of the development, including the refurbishment of the acrobatic space and the upgrade and expansion of the John Langley Hancock Building.”
As she takes up her new role, Lambert will be supported by staff of leisure management provider Belgravia Leisure, an organisation which is very active in the community leisure space across Australia. Belgravia Leisure representatives will be working closely with the new General Manager, sharing their expertise as the operating model of the facility is being established and assisting in areas such as the integration of the booking system, the development of policies and procedures, and the management of human resources.
Belgravia Leisure’s background will be strategic to deliver the NSTC vision of a facility that creates equal opportunities to access its services across multiple audiences, including recreational practitioners.
“I feel confident that with the support of Belgravia Leisure we will create a facility that will cater not only for Australian and international high performance athletes, but also for pathway athletes and our valued community members, giving them the opportunity to enjoy this amazing venue all year round,” Lambert added.
