NSTC Park Update #2

Published Thu 31 Mar 2022

Rectification work in the NSTC Park has been progressing well since our last update in March.  The weather has been kind and enabled us to make good headway in repairing the erosion damage across the whole site from the recent summer storms.

The staff has been hard at work installing over 4 tonne of JF Snow on the run-in of the Development bag which is almost complete.  The development bag was installed earlier in the month and is almost ready to go!

The High Performance bag has been re-installed and is looking good with the new top sheet.  We would like to thank all the local volunteers that helped with the performance bag removal. It was a massive undertaking!

The JF Snow on the performance bag in-run has been uninstalled so that the surface underneath can be re-sprayed and repair of the drainage system surrounding the bag can be undertaken.  We anticipate that the re-tiling of the JF Snow will commence next week.

The upgraded drainage systems around the park are almost complete and work will commence on repairing the pathways throughout the park as the next phase.

While the excavation work has been going on, we have taken the opportunity to finalise planning on the new Rail Line which will be the next stage of the project.  We will keep you informed on the progress of this exciting next stage of the facility as it takes shape.

Weather depending, we remain hopeful to be open again to the community during late April. We will also have further information about the incredibly exciting upgrade and expansion of the NSTC Building in the coming weeks. This is likely to impact the Action Sports training activities in Term 2 & 3. We will have more to say about this shortly.

Keep an eye on the website and the Snow Australia eNews for more updates.
