NSTC Update - June 2022

Published Fri 24 Jun 2022

Dear valued members of the National Snowsports Training Centre and Snow Australia,

Terminology

First and foremost, we would like to make sure our terminology is aligned with you by explaining all the components of the NSTC:

  • ‘NSTC Park’ – The Dry Snow Training area, with Airbag Jumps, future rail line, race start section, and moguls. This is the grand addition visible from multiple angles of Jindabyne. Here we run community jump sessions along with athlete training sessions year round.
  • ‘NSTC Acro’ – The indoor gymnasium main area, housing trampolines, floor space, tumble matts and skate ramp. This is where Action Sports Training Classes will continue to run, along with other session and programs for athletes and the community.
  • ‘NSTC High Performance’ – The future indoor label of for the Snow Australia offices, gym and treatment facilities that will be located within the renovated Gymnasium building.

Acro Centre Temporary Location and Classes
We appreciate your patience with us during the merge process from ‘Action Sports Training’ to our new trampoline/ acrobatics area label: ‘NSTC Acro’.

The renovations of the Gymnasium building are still steadily underway with a forecast completion date of late 2022.

Meanwhile, Action Sports Training afterschool, teenage and adult trampoline sessions will continue just across the way in Leesville, at 6 Percy Harris Street, Jindabyne. Our classes still have plenty of space numbers going into Term 3, as well as a likely School Holiday Drop in class schedule which will be out shortly. View our Website for current session schedule.

NSTC Park firing on all cylinders
The NSTC Park is continuing to run multiple times weekly throughout winter. Operating 3 x Community Jump sessions, 1 x Intro2Plastic Session, as well multiple Athlete Program Jump sessions per week. So it is likely that if you stop by, you will be able to catch someone flying through the air trying to perfect their latest aerial skill. View our Website for current session schedule.
