NSW & ACT Freestyle Parent Information Evening #2 - Aug 2
Published Tue 30 Jul 2019
This Friday night, NSW-ACT Freestyle will be hosting an unprecedented community event in collaboration with NSWIS, AUSMSA and SSA. The event will be a 90 minute open forum with Q&A discussion on the topic of athlete pathways.
Topics to be covered throughout the evening will range from Interschoools to PWSC, AUSMSA then NSWIS and beyond.
Our expert panel will comprise:
Peter Topalovic (Toppa) – NSWIS Winter Sports Coordinator
Peter McNiel – NSWIS Head Coach
Josh Himbury – AUSMSA and PWSC Head Coach
Questions will be taken from the floor and also in advance. We are happy to receive questions by email under anonymity where requested.
Equal time will be applied to all levels of the sport. We hope to cover areas of interest including entry and exit to the various levels, attendance to various National and International camps and competitions, the skills and attributes considered mandatory at different levels of the sport in addition to other topics.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the sport, provide feedback to our top administrators and coaches while keeping up to date with latest models such as FTEM. This is the first time such an event has been hosted for mogul skiing, providing rare insight into how selection and progression works in our sport.
Location: Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre (JSRC) Conference Room (across the road from the main office)
Time: 6pm through to 7:30pm
Doors will be open from 5:30pm, arrive early to grab your seat and submit a question. We are also asking for questions to be emailed in advance to wolsen@skiandsnowboard.org.au.
This is an event not to be missed by any family involved in mogul skiing.
