Para Alpine World Cup underway in Switzerland

The opening day for the Para Alpine Veysonnaz World Cup delivered more medals for Australia, with Melissa Perrine and Christian Geiger once more finishing on the podium.
The bronze medal for the Aussies added to their recent silver on the weekend, making it four medals from four World Cup meets.
The pair have delivered a strong World Cup campaign as they continue to build towards the PyeongChang Paralympic Games in March.
Mitch Gourley delivered a ninth place, with Jonty O’Callaghan (15th) and Mark Soyer (16th) recording personal bests.

Overall the Aussies had a strong first day of competition with set to continue Tuesday (16 January) with more giant slalom events.
