Para Snowboard team kick off season in style

The Australian Para Snowboard team has started its 2024/25 campaign in strong form with a number of podium performances in Landgraaf, Netherlands.

On Thursday, Ben Tudhope scored yet another World Cup podium with second place in his season-opening Banked Slalom in 'The Fridge', the site of his teenage World Cup debut.

Mandy Reid won her Women's European Cup race by a handy margin, Aaron McCarthy was seventh on European Cup debut while Sean Pollard also placed seventh in his return to European Cup competition. Kiwi Ben Johnston who has been preparing with the Australian team nailed a sixth place EC finish.

The following night Tudhope scored himself another World Cup podium, back to back silvers.

Reid stepped up from EC to World Cup racing, finished in a solid sixth position.

In the EC races, Pollard secured himself another seventh place finish while Aaron McCarthy improved on his day one result for sixth place.

The team now readies itself for more racing mid-January in Pyha, Finland as they continue their progress toward's March's World Championships.
