Registrations are now live for the Perisher Park Showdown. ‘The Showdown’ is a highly anticipated event on the Park & Pipe domestic calendar, and will take place at Perisher from the 1-5 August featuring an ANC Big Air as well as two ANC Slopestyle competitions.
Snow Australia Park and Pipe Program Coordinator, David Parr said he was excited for the return of the event.
“With the support from Perisher, Snow Australia, and the P+P National Discipline committee, we are thrilled to be bringing a solid ANC P+P event line-up back in 2022," Parr said.
"This is such a great opportunity to see all of Australia's FIS age freestyle skiing and snowboard athletes train, ride and compete head to head, there is always such a supportive positive vibe."
Developing athletes will be able to gain experience at the Continental Cup Level with the potential to obtain valuable FIS points leading into the International Season.
The event is also part of a larger collaborative ANC series with New Zealand. The overall winner of the 2022 Continental Cup Series, comprising of the two best Slopestyle and single best Big Air results, will be awarded a personal World Cup allocation for the 2022-2023 FIS Season.
Competitors must be at least 13 years old to enter (born in 2009), have a current FIS License and a minimum Snow Australia Membership level of Park & Pipe Rookie.
Event entry is now open via the Perisher Website. You can register here.
