Position Vacant - VIS Aerial Skiing Program - Ski Coach

The VIS is seeking two experienced, qualified and passionate high performance ski coaches to work with the development athletes within the Aerial Skiing program, ensuring the ski skill development of athletes who have the potential to be medalists at future Winter Olympics and World Championships.
Reporting to the VIS Aerial Skiing Program Manager you must have significant high performance ski coaching/instructor experience and able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of elite athletes and coaches.
The program will be based in Utah from early December 2018 through until Feb 2019, positions exist for between 2 and 6 weeks duration. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, planning, communication and coordination skills and the ability to work under direction of the Program Manager and in partnership with performance support staff. A strong emphasis will be placed on the successful applicant having high performance sporting experience as either a coach and/or as a high level competitor. An understanding of the operations of a US ski resort for daily training and to work smoothly within sponsorship arrangements is essential.
