Provisional 2022-2023 XC Team Selection

Snow Australia would like to announce the provisional Cross-Country Skiing National Teams for 2022-2023. These athletes have met the required performance standards and will be invited to join the teams. The final teams will be confirmed at the start of November following consideration of discretionary selection, reviews of individual performance plans and signing of athlete agreements.

2023 International Event Selection
The Snow Australia Cross Country Skiing Selection committee would also like to communicate the preliminary qualification status of athletes for major international events in 2023. This International XC Event selection page will be updated during the season as additional athletes qualify and selections are made.
2023 National Junior Squad
In 2022, due to Covid-19 and limited competiton opportunities, the Snow Australia Cross Country Committee named a National Junior Squad intead of the National Junior Team. This consisted of all the leading athletes within the recognised state pathway programs between the age of 16-20 that were following a year-round training plan primarily for cross country skiing. While not yet confirmed official by the national committee, it is proposed that a similar approach be taken for 2023, whereby cross country skiing athletes in the Snow Australia ETP program and state squads would be invited to attend national training camps and take part in other development activities on the recommendation of the state and national coaches and when capacity allows.
