Perrine was pleased with her silver medal winning performance on the international stage saying it is a great feeling stepping onto the podium.

“We had a game plan that we tried to execute, you always want to execute things a bit cleaner than you do, but overall I’m pretty happy with the day,” she said.

Looking ahead to her next race at the World Championships event, Perrine is focused on performing at her best.

“We’re (Perrine and sighted guide Bobbi Kelly) excited for the Slalom, we’ve been doing a lot of training for that one so we’re aiming to put together two solid runs.

“We always try to go out there and ski our best and if that results in a podium then that’s awesome,” said Perrine.

Perrine will line up in the Ladies Slalom on Thursday 24 January.

In yesterday's results the Aussie men all finished within the top 10 of their respective Giant Slalom races:

  • Mitch Gourley (standing), 4th
  • Patrick Jensen & sighted guide Zali Offord (vision impaired), 9th
  • Sam Tait (sitting),10th
