Snow Australia holds community forum in Sydney

Members of the snowsports community gathered in Sydney last night for the first Community Forum of the year.
The Sydney forum, the first of several scheduled for the year, was an opportunity for members to hear from Snow Australia’s leadership about current plans, priorities and direction.
Attendees were given the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions about any aspect of Snow Australia’s operation including funding, selections and pathway priorities.
Snow Australia Chief Executive Officer Michael Kennedy said it was great to see so many members of the community in attendance and being involved in the Q&A session.
“Last night’s forum was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the wider snowsports community and was the first of several community forums that will be held in the lead up to and during the snowsport season,” Kennedy said.
“As a unified organisation it’s important that we continue to work closely with the members of our snowsports community across the country, as they are at the core of everything we do, both on and off the snow.
“We will have forums coming up in Victoria and ACT as well and I’d encourage members of our community to come along and get involved,” he said.
Snow Australia intends to conduct similar community forums at various locations throughout the year, with the next scheduled to align with the Annual General Meeting in Melbourne on March 18. More details to be confirmed in the coming days.
