Snow Australia welcomes new partner for Emerging Talent Program. Snow Australia is delighted to welcome US Based fund manager, The Lind Partners as major sponsor of the Emerging Talent Program for the next two years.

The Emerging Talent Program identifies and supports Australia's next generation of Winter Olympic ski and snowboard athletes who are at the start of their high performance pathway.  The program offers athletes valuable skill development as well as mentoring opportunities with current and retired Olympians.

The Lind Partners have thrown their support behind the Emerging Talent Program, recognising the value athletes receive from being part of the program. The organisation is a US based institutional fund manager and leading provider of growth capital to small and mid-cap companies, including many Australian businesses, particularly in the mining sector.

The Lind Partners’ Founder, Jeff Easton, said: “Whether in business or sports, emerging talents face a unique set of challenges and potential roadblocks. We are delighted to support Snow Australia in their efforts to help nurture Emerging Talent athletes unlock their full potential.

“I had the pleasure of seeing Australia’s world class athletes competing at the World Cup in Deer Valley, Utah this February and when offered the opportunity to support the next generation reach the top level, I couldn’t say no,” said Easton.

Jeff was introduced to Snow Australia by Lind Advisory Board member John Hancock, who was also in Utah with his wife Gemma and three daughters, supporting the Australian Freestyle athletes in Deer Valley.

John and Gemma donated in March this year, and further pledged to support Australia’s next generation of snow athletes via ongoing program donations, which will enable additional investment and support of the Emerging Talent Program.

“My family and I love skiing and having met inspirational young Australian athletes in person, such as Britt Cox, and watching aerial skier Abbey Wilcox’s podium for the first time, wanted to help young Australians achieve their goals,” said Hancock.

Snow Australia CEO Michael Kennedy added: “I am humbled by the generous support of both John and Gemma Hancock and The Lind Partners through Jeff Easton.

“This sponsorship will make a substantial difference to the capability of the Emerging Talent Program and we are exploring ways for The Lind Partners to extend the support to athletes that take the next step from emerging talent onto World Cup and hopefully to the Olympic Games."
