Snow Sales return in Canberra and Jindabyne

Snow Australia has commenced planning for the two traditional community snow sport equipment sales heading into the Australian winter, the Canberra Snow Sale on May 8 and the Jindabyne Snow Sale on June 12 and 13.

Unfortunately, both events were cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As restrictions have eased, Snow Australia looks forward to holding them again in 2021, under local health regulations. 

The Snow Sales are an annual fundraiser for local Canberra and Jindabyne snow sports community initiatives, with the Canberra Snow Sale running for nearly 30 years.  From 2021, Snow Australia will be organising the Jindabyne Snow Sale, which has been previously run by Ursula Berchtold for Action Sports Training (AST). 

After the change of ownership of AST to Snow Australia in 2020, we now intend to continue the tradition of running the long-standing community event as a fundraiser for the maintenance and upgrades to the AST facility. AST operates community acrobatic programs from the custom-built training facility inside the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre.
  
The Snow Sales are a great opportunity to buy and/or sell new and pre-loved snow sports equipment. A full range of equipment will be available, with a broad selection perfect for skiers and snowboarders new to sport and families upgrading gear. 

Please mark the Snow Sale dates on your calendar - more information will be sent out leading into the events. 

2021 EVENT INFORMATION

Canberra Snow Sale

  • Where: EPIC, Mitchell, ACT. New venue in 2021 while the former Transport Depot undergoes renovations.
  • Drop of equipment to sell: Friday May 7
  • Sale Date: Saturday May 8
  • Collection of unsold items: Saturday May 8 

Jindabyne Snow Sale

  • Where: Jindabyne Memorial Hall, NSW
  • Drop off equipment to sell: Friday June 11
  • Sale Dates: Saturday June 12 and Sunday June 13 (official opening weekend of the snow season)
  • Collection of unsold items: Sunday June 13

Want to sell?

Members of the public are invited to sell pre-loved ski and snowboard equipment, including skis, snowboards, poles, boots and outerwear at the Snow Sales. Only hardware items that are under 7 years old will be accepted. Drop off sale items the day before the sale date(s). Any unsold equipment must be collected after the sale has finished.
