SSA Announce Victorian Snowsports Development Grant Program

Published Wed 17 Aug 2016

Ski & Snowboard Australia (SSA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016 Victorian Snowsports Development Grant Program (VSDG). The grants are aimed at supporting Victorian pathway programs to continue to develop Snowsports across Victoria.

In December 2015, Ski & Snowboard Australia was formally recognised by the Victorian State Government as the designated Victorian Sporting Organisation to oversee snowsports in Victoria.

As a result, SSA has been allocated a base grant of $20k per year over the next three and a half years. While it is hoped that this amount will increase over time, the annual grant is a significant increase on previous base funding provided to the sport in Victoria.

As a result of this allocation, SSA has established the Victorian Snowsports Development Grant (VSDG) program which is designed to provide the opportunity for Victorian discipline committees and recognised Victorian SSA pathway programs to apply for funding to deliver projects and programs that promote and develop snowsports in Victoria.

The grant criteria were established in line with guidelines set out by SRV through the Supporting Victorian Sport and Recreation Program, and SSA received a large number of high quality applications from a varied range of organisations.

It is with great pleasure that SSA announce that the following projects have been approved for funding as part of the VSDG program for 2016:
