More than 130 of the most talented racers across the U14 and U16 age groups took to the slopes to showcase their array of skills.
The event started with the Ski Cross on Saturday, followed by the Giant Slalom on Sunday and Slalom on the Monday.
Falls Creek Snowsports Director Scott Sanderson said carnivals like these are really important to develop our future athletes and shape the future of the sport.
“The four day format, encompassing training and racing, across Ski Cross, Giant Slalom and Slalom in an environment where our nation’s best club coaches work together with our strongest U14 and U16 alpine kids was really positive,” Sanderson said.
“Congratulations to everyone that took part and showed great attitude and sportsmanship. A big thank you to all of the parents, coaches and volunteers for helping put on what we feel was an epic event for our countries most dedicated alpine kids.”
The four Overall National Alpine Champions showed great consistency across the three disciplines and are examples of great training and racing development both in Australia and overseas.
Congratulations must go to those athletes in the upper year 16s that raced hard and fast and are ready for their first year of FIS next year.
The following clubs were represented at the event: Falls Creek Race Club, Mt Buller Race Club, Mt Hotham Race Club, Perisher Winter Sports Club, Thredbo Mountain Academy, Thredbo Ski Racing Club.
