SSA STAFFING UPDATEÂ

Ski & Snowboard Australia is pleased to confirm recent appointments for the national office, as the organisation wraps up the domestic season in Australia and looks ahead towards the 2018 Winter Olympic/Paralympic Games.
Participation & Sport Development
Steve Nelson will assume the full-time role of National Participation & Sport Development Manager, following a contract period over winter as Snowracer Project manager.
Steve brings with him a wealth of experience with previous roles including Operations Manager of the Victorian Interschools for over 10 years. Steve has an excellent understanding of resort and event operations which will provide a great insight as SSA looks to build on the success of the Snowracer program that was rolled out during 2017. Steve will oversee pathways programs such as Snowracer and Little Shredders, working collectively with the National Participation committee.
After delivering the Little Shredders program in 2017, Nic Cicero will return to the OWI in a High Performance program operations role. Nic was instrumental in the roll out of Little Shredders that saw 3000 individuals participating in the program nationally as well as finalised the online coaching course.
SSA Communications
Following the departure of Alex Rouse as SSA Communications Executive, SSA have engaged Beyond the Break Consulting (BTB) to manage our social media, communications and media through the northern winter period and in the build up to the Winter Olympic/Paralympic Games in 2018.
Beyond the Break have years of experience working in the National Sporting Organisation environment and have worked across numerous Olympic sports including Water Polo Australia, Australian Canoeing, Equestrian Australia as well as with the NSW Waratahs. Account Director Lauren Ryan will be working first hand with the stakeholders to deliver a comprehensive content strategy across all channels to promote the full pathway across Ski & Snowboard Australia.
