TWO EVENTS REMAIN AT PARA ALPINE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

With two days remaining at the 2019 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships the Australian riders are looking to finish strongly at Sella Nevea, Italy.

Strong winds and heavy snow wreaked havoc to postpone the Downhill races which eventually got underway three days later on 30 January, now leaving only two more events on the schedule.

The Aussie team will be looking to add to their medal tally in both the Super Combined (31 January) and Super-G (1 February) races after Melissa Perrine has already grabbed a silver and bronze while Mitch Gourley claimed third place last week.

FROM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TO WORLD CUP FOR PARA ALPINE SKIERS

Australia’s Para Alpine skiers will return to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia to compete in a two-day World Cup tour stop.

Focused on the technical races, athletes will be on Slovenian snow just over a week after last competing in the region for the World Championships.

BIG WHITE WELCOMES PARA ALPINE SNOWBOARD RIDERS

The first World Para Snowboard World Cup races of 2019 lands at Big White in Canada for four days beginning 4 February.

As the host of the 2017 World Championships, the iconic resort is famous for its high snow quality. It’s a light, fluffy and dry powder that’s known as ‘Okanagan Champagne Powder.’

The riders last competed on the Word Cup circuit in early December at Pyha, Finland.
