SSA Weekend Watch

A group of Aussie Snowboard Cross riders along with Para Alpine skier Melissa Perrine and sighted guide Bobbi Kelly will fly the Aussie flag this weekend when they take to the snow for their country.

Read on to find out when and where some of Australia’s sowsport athletes will be competing.

SBX SEASON FINALE HAS ARRIVED

The final FIS Snowboard Cross 2018/19 World Cup stop will roll into Veysonnaz, Switzerland this weekend with Aussies Alex Pullin, Cam Bolton and Adam Lambert all sitting within the top 10 Cup standing.

With one race taking place this Saturday the top 32 men and 16 ladies’ of the season square off to seal their standings in the season.

The Aussie contingent is in strong form with Adam Lambert and Cam Bolton both grabbing podium finishes at two recent World Cup races.

The group of five including Alex Pullin, Cam Bolton, Adam Lambert, Adam Dickson and Josh Miller are well rested courtesy of their week-long stay at Club Med Valmorel.

MEL PERRINE IN THE HUNT FOR PARA ALPINE WORLD CUP TITLE

After recently securing the World Para Alpine Skiing Women’s Vision Impaired Giant Slalom discipline title for the 2018/19 season, Perrine now aims to close the gap between her and Austrian skier Veronika Aigner for the overall title.

Currently Perrine and Kelly are based in La Molina, Spain and have one more Giant Slalom race remaining on 14 March followed by two consecutive Slalom events from 15-16 March.

Perrine and Kelly will then travel to Morzine, France for World Cup Finals between 19-21 March.
