Together with Perisher’s Winter Sports Club, SSA has launched an Emerging Talent Park and Pipe Snowboard Program for the 2016 domestic season.
This is the first of its kind for Park and Pipe in Australia and has created a three tiered National pathway, bringing together a targeted group of young developing athletes who show great potential and fundamental excellence in snowboarding or have proven performances in other board sports. Within this group there are multiple World Champions for their age in snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding as well as multiple national title-holders in all board sports.
This scholarship initiative is being run in Perisher in partnership with the Winter Sports Club.

For this program SSA has sourced an experienced international snowboard and gymnastics coach, David Parr who specializes in human movement and acrobatic excellence. David is well placed to build the technical snowboarding, acrobatic and human movement foundations to support our targeted athletes to become future snowboarding stars. This targeted Emerging Talent Program is supported by SSA’s partnerships with both the Perisher Winter Sports Club and the NSWIS Acrobatic Centre of Excellence in Thredbo.
