SSA Futures: ACRO Sessions | 8-9 July 2017
SSA's Futures ACRO Sessions is open for registration, with limited places available.
Futures Acro sessions is two acrobatic sessions designed for freestyle ski and snowboard development, coached by Olympic and World Class coaches at the NSWIS Acrobatic Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Thredbo.
The sessions develop acrobatic skills, aerial and body awareness as a key focus of freestyle skiing and snowboarding.
Perisher Winter Sports Club and SSA Emerging Park & Pipe Talent coach, David Parr, will be coordinating the program over two afternoons,
with assistance from SSA Pathway Program coaches and guest National Team Athletes.
All participants will develop a personalised training plan to continue their progression at home, aligned with their pathway to winter sports success.
Eligibility
SSA ACRO Futures is for those athletes involved with any SSA Pathway Program in halfpipe, slopestyle or big air for ski and snowboard, as well as moguls.
We also welcome applications from athletes across all disciplines to take part if you are:
- Interested in learning new acrobatic skills
- Are between the ages 10 and 18 years
- Are involved in a pathway program or Interschools.
Places are limited to a maximum of 30 spots which will be allocated upon discretion of SSA and the coaching staff

- Two Freestyle Ski and Snowboard specific acrobatic coaching sessions
- Educational and Motivational speeches
- Personalised acrobatic training program
- Qualified coaching and supervision
- Entry and access to the NSWIS Acrobatic Centre of Excellence.
