Ski and Snowboard Australia (SSA) is excited to announce Craig Branch as Thredbo’s new Head Alpine coach.

As a triple Olympian and six-time Australian World Championship representative, Branch enters the role with a deep and holistic knowledge of Alpine skiing.

Together SSA, Thredbo and Branch will work collectively to ensure national alignment in the direction of alpine skiing.

Branch will take a lead on delivering key objectives throughout the season to continue one of the country’s premier alpine race clubs, including identifying the next generation of talent through the alpine skills assessment.

SSA Alpine Program Director Mick Branch is thrilled with Craig’s appointment and the experience he brings to the role.

“He will bring a high level of expertise and technical coaching to the program which will help shape Australia’s next generation.

“The appointment of Craig will only lift the level of athlete skill within the club and in Australia,” he said.

Branch will hit the ground running when he meets with SSA and Thredbo to plan for Australia’s 2019 winter season in March.
