Tori Pendergast takes bronze at Para Alpine World Cup

PyeongChang hopeful Victoria Pendergast has taken bronze in the Giant Slalom Sitting on the opening day of the Para Alpine World Cup in Slovenia.
While the 26-year-old was pleased with the podium finish, she believes there is much she can improve on for the second day of competition.
“To be honest I wasn't happy with the performance, I know I can ski a lot better.
“I was super hesitant but then my second run was a lot better. The first run I think the course got in my head and I just doubted myself in the skiing ability - even though I know it’s there.
“The aim tomorrow is to just come in with a lot more confidence, just knowing I can ski better and have confidence I can get through. I just need to ski the way I know I can ski it,” she said.
The Para Alpine competitors have had a short turn around, after competing in the Zagreb World Cup just two days earlier.
For Patrick Jensen and guide Lara Falk, they managed to finish a solid ninth place in the Giant Slalom Visually Impaired. In only their second World Cup series, they went up against a strong field and were able to finish within the top ten.
In other results Mitch Gourley finish 6th and Jonty O’Callaghan 19th with Mark Soyter taking home 11th. For full results click here.
