Tudhope to Cap Career-Best Season at World Champs

Ben Tudhope heads into this week’s FIS Para Snowboard World Championships in La Molina, Spain full of confidence having wrapped up the most successful season of his career.
The three-time Paralympian landed himself on the podium at all nine World Cup races this season, winning five events along the way. The combination of results also earned the 23-year-old the Para Snowboard Snowboard Cross and Para Snowboard Overall crystal globes.
Having earned snowboard cross silver at the last two World Championships and bronze in dual banked slalom two years ago, Tudhope is again well-poised for more strong results when competition gets underway on Friday.
“It sets me up well for my goal at World Champs,” said Tudhope after the World Cup finals in Italy last weekend. “I'm just enjoying the ride and truly loving snowboarding, because that’s the main thing it’s about.
"There's a lot of people out here that are pushing the limit and pushing my limit, so to still be on top is absolutely incredible.”
Pending any weather-related changes, the Para Snowboard World Championships are set to start with snowboard cross qualifying on Friday night (Australian time), followed by finals on Saturday. Dual banked slalom qualifying is on Wednesday followed by finals on Thursday 16 March.
