Australian Junior SBX athletes have taken bronze medals in both the men's and women's team events in Klinovec (CZE) over the weekend.

The fancied teams from France and the USA came out as successors over the 700 metres long track.

In the women's event, Emily Boyce and Georgia Baff teamed up to take third, outdone by Manon Petit and Julia Pereira (FRA) who came first, and Kristina Paul and Viktoria Bukevich (RUS) in second place.

Since the inaugural team event back in 2014 only French girls have triumphed in this trilling and exciting format.

In the men's race Adam Lambert and Angus Pennigton also placed third on the podium, with Senna Leith and Jake Vedder (USA) taking first living up to their reputation after both had unexpectedly missed the podium in the single race. Leon Beckhaus teamed up with Sebastian Pietrzykowski (GER) taking second place.

In the individual SBX events earlier in the competition, Emily Boyce placed a very respectable 10th overall, with Georgia Baff closely behind in 12th. Kristina Paul (RUS), Jana Fischer (GER) and Julia Pereira (FRA) taking the podium spots. Adam Lambert placed 19th with Angus Pennington placing 44th in his debut event, the field led by Kalle Koblet (SUI), David Pickl (AUT) and Leon Beckhaus (GER).
