Two top-8 small final performances in Reiteralm World Cup

Australia has recorded two top-eight performances at the World Cup snowboard cross event in Reiteralm, Austria, with Cam Bolton and Adam Lambert both making it through to the small final.
After some impressive racing in the earlier rounds, Bolton and Lambert were drawn in the same semi final heat. Bolton unfortunately crashed out halfway down the course, and Lambert just missed out on advancing to the big final in third place.
Competing in the small final to decide places fifth through to eighth, in a hotly contested run which came down to the last feature with three of the four racers crashing out and sliding over the line, Bolton finished in sixth and Lambert in seventh.
Also in action in Reiteralm were Josie Baff, who finished in 14th place after earlier qualifying for finals in 11th, and Adam Dickson who won his heat in the round of 32 but finished up in 16th after placing fourth in his quarter final stage.
With just the final World Cup remaining, which will take place in Veysonnaz, Switzerland, next weekend on March 20, Bolton is currently ranked sixth on the standings, with Lambert in 12th, Dickson 15th and Baff in 18th.
Belle Brockhoff has decided to take a small break after the Olympic Winter Games and is not competing at the final World Cup events of the season.
