Ski & Snowboard Australia was saddened to hear of the passing of Freestyle skiing pioneer Lynne Grosse.
Lynne was a trailblazer for freestyle skiing in the 1980’s becoming the first woman to win a world cup medal for Australia and the first in Aerial Skiing. Lynne won the 3rd and 4th ever World Cup medals by an Australian after Malcolm Milne.
She won two medals (silver and bronze) at World Cup events in 1984 and became a trail blazer for our Aerial skiers including Kirstie Marshall.
As a Falls Creek local Lynne was the brainchild behind The Summit Masters a freestyle mogul event held on the Summit at Falls Creek for many years.
Our thoughts are with her family.
