VICXC Team Open for 2023

The Victorian Cross Country Ski Team (VICXC) is open for business for 2023! Following the establishment of a new Victorian Cross Country Committee under Snow Australia, VICXC is also undergoing some changes. Registration for the team is now live on the Snow Australia event and member portal, with event support available at rollerski events in April and the first training camp coming up in May.

Leading the charge for VICXC in 2023 is coach Anna Trnka, who has been one of the main Victorian coaches in recent years and is freshly back from leading a junior development tour to Europe.

"The Victorian Ski team was a really important part of my development, as well as being a great social experience where I made life-long friends," said Anna, who competed at the World Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014, and at the World Championships in 2013 and 2015. "I'm very excited to be involved in helping the team grow and develop into a comprehensive program that supports junior athletes. I would like to say a huge thank you to Ronice Goebel, who has driven Vic XC for most of the last 20 years, without her this team would not exist."

During the winter VICXC will partner with the AUSXC National Training Centre coach at Falls Creek to provide coaching for both state and national level athletes.
