An iconic Aussie mogul event, the next generation on show at Perisher and a rescheduled Mt Buller Slopestyle are some of the events which went down over the weekend.
ABOM Mogul Challenge
Celebrating its 30th anniversary as one of Australia’s most colourful mogul events, the event attracted a world class field of Olympians and World Cup competitors to Mt Buller yet again.
Six Australian PyeongChang Olympians, including silver medalist Matt Graham and young gun Jakara Anthony as well as athletes from the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Japan and Korea were all on show at the Victorian ski field.
Taking place at Mt Buller’s legendary bumps run on Chamois, home to the aerial and freestyle Olympic Training Centre, athletes were met with snowy conditions as they battled it out for the title.
A big draw card for spectators each year are the dual Mogul Finals which deliver spectacular races often with just fractions of seconds between athletes.
