Winter Sports stars nominated for NSWIS Awards

- Six Winter Sports representatives recognised for their achievements at the 2017 NSWIS Awards
- Winners to be revealed at a gala event on 16th November, in the company of the cream of the state’s sporting stars
Six Winter Sports representatives have been announced as finalists at the 2017 NSWIS Awards Dinner.
The finalists announcement is led by the brilliant Britt Cox’s nomination for the Office of Sport Female Athlete of the Year award following an outstanding season which included her first world championship gold. Britt’s coaches Steve Desovich and Jerry Grossi have also been recognised with a nomination in the Southern Design Coach of the Year category.
In addition, Winter Sports have two nominations in the Mizuno Junior Athlete of the Year category in Tess Coady and Adam Lambert.
Winter Sport athletes have also been recognised for their ability to balance their sport with other commitments. Krystle Yin is up for the ClubsNSW Personal Excellence Award, while Holly Crawford is a finalist in the University of Sydney Academic Excellence category.
The NSWIS Winter Sports program is also a finalist in the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Program of the Year category, recognising the role of NSWIS athletes, coaches and administrators in Australia’s most successful ever winter sports season.
The esteemed annual awards will be presented at a gala celebration at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 16th November, with the best sporting talent from across New South Wales in attendance. The awards recognise and honour the achievements of NSWIS athletes, coaches and sport programs across eight categories.
