Winter World Masters Games 2020 - Innsbruck

The Winter World Masters Games 2020 were recently held in Innsbruck, Austria with 20 Australian's participating in the alpine disciplines.
The journey began for the Alpine competitors at the end of December in Maurach/Tirol with a two week training camp leading into 5 days of racing at Innsbruck’s own ski resort the famous Patscherkofel, which was the home to the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics, the 2012 inaugural Youth Olympic Games and this year hostsed the 3rd Winter World Masters Games where 3100 participants from 55 Nations competed across 12 Disciplines.
The early training and racing prepared the team for the tough icy conditions bringing home 7 medals against the 700 alpine competitirs in attendance.
