As the season draws closer to its end, it has been a busy week for Australian athletes on the FIS World Cup circuit, with plenty more competition coming up this weekend.

Cross Country
Lars Young Vik finished 50th in the sprint at the World Cup in Drammen, Norway earlier in the week.
This weekend he is joined at the World Cup in Falun, Sweden by Phoebe Cridland, Ellen Soehol Lie and Phil Bellingham who is lining up for his 100th individual World Cup start.

“Falun is one of the biggest World Cup events of the year, usually with good crowds and good vibes,” said Young Vik. “We’re keen to leave it all out on the track to finish up the international season.”

In addition to the 10km classic and sprint free events, the four skiers will form Australia’s first mixed team relay at a World Cup, which the whole squad is looking forward to.

“The mixed team relay is setting an electric mood for this weekend’s races and we’re all eager for it to get underway,” said Cridland.
