XC Coach Workshops in July

Snow Australia is offering two opportunities in July for Cross Country Ski coaches to take part in a 1-Day Coach Technique Workshop. These workshops are designed for new coaching candidates working with school, club and state level athletes, and are also suitable as a refresher for existing coaches.

New coach candidates should have APSI Level 2 Instructor qualifications or other demonstrated experience in teaching the basics of cross country skiing. The coach workshops will cover all Classic and Freestyle techniques used for cross country ski racing, including cornering and downhill techniques, and provide insight into technique development strategies used by national team coaches.

All candidates are encouraged to complete the Sport Australia Community Coaching Essential Skills course before attending the workshop. This can be completed via the Snow Academy.
