Cross Country Junior-U23 World Championships Team Announcement for 2025

Snow Australia is pleased to announce the selection of 10 athletes to the Cross Country Junior and U23 World Championships Team for 2025. 

Rosie Fordham and Hugo Hinckfuss will join the team following their World Cup event in Cogne, with Rosie looking to improve on her top 20 performance at the 2024 U23 World Championships, while Hugo is ready to make his mark at his first U23 Championships.

As the top Australian junior at the 2024 Junior World Championships, Jayden Spring made the top 30 and progressed through to the Sprint finals and is looking to better this result in 2025. 

After showcasing strong performances in the World University Games, Noah Bradford, Isabella Moon and Vincent de Souza are ready to continue their form as a part of the Australian U23 team.

The 2025 team also includes three Junior World Championship debuts for Satara Moon, Clancy Harvey and Samuel Johnson who had their first taste of international competition at the 2022 Youth Olympic Games. 

Heli Laajoki joins the team after strong performances at the Finnish Junior Championships earlier in January, and is excited to see how she shapes up at her second Junior World Championship

“With two skiers straight out of the World Cup team and some great up-and-coming talent this is an exciting championship coming up,” said Finn Marsland, Snow Australia Cross Country Program director. 

“We’d love to see some appearances in the Sprint finals and a couple of top 20’s to follow on results of recent years. The relay events will also be a highlight and great experience for these athletes.”

All events from Schilpario 2025 are set to be live streamed via Snow TV, with live timing and full results available via the FIS website.
