Cross Country skier Jessica Yeaton found herself on the podium on three occasions at the Mt Van Hoevenburg round of the 2018-19 SuperTour.

Yeaton won the ladies 5 kilometre freestyle and finished second in both the 1.5 km sprint classic and 10 km classic – mass start.

In the 5 km freestyle, the PyeongChang Olympian finished the course in 15:1.09 which was three seconds ahead of second placed Sophie Caldwell (USA).

It was Yeaton’s first time at the top the SuperTour podium.

“It feels great,” Yeaton said.

“I was hoping for a podium finish this weekend, but being able to pull it off in all three events definitely exceeded my goal.”

The 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will be Yeaton’s third and the 27-year-old is happy to be in-form at the business end of the season.

“My results give me confidence as I head over to Europe to race my first world cups (of the season),” she said.

“World Championships are after that, and I am really hoping to ski in the top 30 in one of the individual races there.”
