Young Aussies named in national team for Whistler Cup

Ski and Snowboard Australia is proud to announce the national U16 Whistler Cup Team who will compete in the Whistler Cup from 12-15 April.

The Whistler Cup competition combined with the pre-training SSA camp, provides young Australian athletes with high performance training, introduces athletes to national standards as well as pre-elite phase of the pathway similar to future experiences.

The camp provides athletes with an introduction to the processes and expectations demanded to perform at a high level and will allow Australian coaches to analyse and better understand these athlete’s capacity in conditions outside of Australia.

The program will also expose the athletes to a higher standard of competition which they may not have previously experienced, as well as introduce them to other athletes on the international circuit.

The six Australian athletes are in camp now ahead of the four days of competition from April 12.
