Program Overview
The Snow Australia Emerging Talent Program (ETP) is designed to identify, support, and enhance the development of talented, emerging athletes for progression in the Snow Australia Performance Pathway. The program is proudly aligned with and supported by South East Sports Academy (SESA).
Several ETP Alumni have progressed in the Performance Pathway to ultimately represent Australia at benchmark events such as World Championships & the Winter Olympic Games.
The ETP works to deliver athlete outcomes based on a combination of individual and program support, in addition to the athlete’s pathway program activity.
ETP initiatives are driven through various mediums including, but not limited to:
- Talent Development and Screening camps
- Targeted performance camp invitations through Snow Australia or High-Performance underpinning programs (NSWIS)
- Dry Land/Off Snow training initiatives
- Performance Services education and access
- Mentor programs with senior high-performance athletes
- Performance Health Case Management as required
As an early introduction to Performance Pathway, ETP members will complete requirements prior participating in scheduled development activity, including:
- ETP/SESA Athlete Agreement
- Be a financial member of Snow Australia
- Sport Integrity requirements*
- Concussion Baseline Testing through Complete Concussion Management Inc.*
