Snow Australia Women of Winter champions and empowers snowsports women to reach their full potential. The program facilitates an environment of support through professional development, training, networking opportunities, leading to an increase of women participating, working and volunteering in the Snowsports Industry. The program is aimed to encourage and support women in building long-term paid and volunteer careers, advancing into leadership roles, making a lasting impact in our industry.

A Women of Winter Working Group is being set up to support the initiative. 

The purpose of the Women of Winter working group is to find ways to expand the community and provide opportunities for women to upskill and connect with others. 

We recognise our differences are our strength and a diverse and inclusive snow sports community is fundamental to our success. We encourage all women and men to apply.

The Women of Winter - Women in Focus stories aims to inspire, promote and connect women in the ski industry to encourage future female leaders.

The Women in Focus series features a Woman excelling in the Snowsports industry in their chosen discipline. Presenting women in a multitude of roles including coaches, athletes, administrators, guides and industry directors.

In 2024, a series on Women in Winter Networking evenings in Jindabyne, Falls Creek, and Hotham, attracting 155 attendees.

The events aimed to promote and support the presence of women within the snow industry and while also raising awareness about various career paths available. It was a great opportunity for women to create new connections within the industry.
