NSWIS Ski Cross athlete Sami Kennedy-Sim has made a strong start to her first events of 2019, placing 14th in the first event and eighth in the second event at the World Cup in Idre Fjall, Sweden.

Competition at the 2019 Laax Open finished on Saturday evening in celebratory fashion, as the best halfpipe riders in the world gathered at what is perhaps the best halfpipe in the world for a nighttime showdown that saw PyeongChang bronze medalist Scotty James (AUS) reign supreme, but not before pushing themselves to a new standard once again.

FREESTYLE SKIING: Australian mogul skiier Jakara Anthony has claimed her first ever World Cup gold medal at the Lake Placid World Cup tour event, beating out France’s Perrine Laffont and USA’s Tess Johnson.
